Setup Your Branded Domain

Brand your sharing links with your own custom domain. Follow this guide to configure your DNS settings correctly.

  1. Step 1

    Add Domain

    Enter your subdomain in the dashboard to get started.

  2. Step 2

    Configure DNS

    Add a CNAME record in your domain provider's DNS settings.

  3. Step 3

    Verify & SSL

    Verify ownership and enable SSL for secure branded links.

1Choose Your Subdomain

Decide on the subdomain you want to use for your file links. Common choices include:

  • share.yourdomain.com
  • files.yourdomain.com
  • dl.yourdomain.com
Important Constraint

You typically cannot use your root domain (e.g., yourdomain.com) because it requires an A Record, which we do not support for this feature. Please use a subdomain.

2Add DNS Record

Log in to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare) and add the following CNAME Record:

  • Do not use an A Record.
  • Do not verify with http:// or https:// prefix in the setup.
  • If you use Cloudflare, make sure the cloud icon is Grey (DNS Only) initially for verification.

3Verify & Enable SSL

Once the DNS record propagates, go back to your Branded Domains dashboard.

  • Click the Verify button next to your domain.
  • Wait for status to change to Verified.
  • Click Enable SSL to secure your links with HTTPS.
